Arthur Henry Wilson became Franklin College's first African-American graduate in 1902. While a student at Franklin, he participated in baseball and football. Wilson then became a physician upon graduation from Purdue University in 1907. The Arthur Wilson Black Experience House at Franklin College was created in his memory.
